Electrical Energy
Monitors and informs the AmCham membership on issues and developments in the
electrical energy sector.
Environment
Responsible for any subject related to the Environment. A main objective is to
collaborate with the Environmental National Consulting Commission of the Environmental National Authority (Autoridad Nacional
del Medio Ambiente - ANAM).
Finance
Statutory committee,
membership by invitation. Reviews all AmCham financial documents and
programs, reporting to the Board of Directors as needed.
House
Reviews office operational operations and procedures
and recommends changes in financial, human resources and procedural practices of the Chamber.
Hydrocarbons
Monitors and informs the
AmCham membership on issues and developments in the fossil fuels
sector.
Legislation & Taxation
Monitors and informs on
significant developments in the area of US and Panamanian taxation,
both individual and corporate, alerts the members as to other
related legislation of interest to business, and advises the Board
on the formulation of policy concerning legal issues.
Organizational Development and Human Capital
Focuses on development of leadership, management and training
within companies and Corporate Social Responsibility
Marketing Publications
Finds and writes articles for
submission to the Editor of the AmCham monthly magazine, Business Panama.
Develops programs and funding for the magazine and other AmCham
publications.
Past Presidents
Reviews AmCham
programs and practices with a view towards recommending changes to
the Board of Directors. Comprised of former presidents of AmCham
Panama.
Public Relations & Media Impact
Focuses
on promotion of AmCham Panama and its members, increasing and
retaining members. Membership by invitation.
Real Estate
Studies and monitors the
real estate market and provides information of use to both members of the sector and
individuals entering the real estate market in Panama.
Small & Medium Enterprises
Focuses on support and
development of small and medium enterprises.
Technology
Reviews and monitors
Technology issues and developments that could be of benefit to
AmCham Members. It prepares reports and surveys on the use of
technology to enhance business productivity, recommends speakers and
organizes technology seminars.
Tourism
Responsible for developing
programs and promoting activities in tourism. Provides liaison
between AmCham and other tourism related organizations in Panama.
Trade & Investment
Serves AmCham in the area of
trade, the economy, investment, and commerce in Panama. It monitors
reciprocal trade and investment relations with US Chambers and trade
organizations, develops marketing strategies to promote sale of US
products and services to Panama, and promotes free trade. It is
charged with monitoring developments on the Free trade Area of the
Americas and increasing awareness of free trade issues.
Transportation & Logistics
Oversees AmCham activities in
land sea and air transportation with respect to Panama and the U.S.
It reviews changes in laws affecting transportation and keeps the
members advised on the latest changes in procedures and technology.
