Panama, August 1st, 2016. The American Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Panama (AmCham) reinforces its social commitment to the Panamanian education, through the creation of the Education Committee.

Since 2010, more than 40 AMCHAM member companies have shown their concern about the Panamanian education by voluntarily developing the Chamber´s Social Responsibility Flagship Program focused on leadership development for Directors of Public Schools in the District of San Miguelito.

Some of the AMCHAM member companies that have initially joined the effort to establish this Committee are: Banesco, Procter & Gamble, City of Knowledge, INCAE, Metropolitan School of Panama, Morgan & Morgan, Universidad Latina, KPMG, Ahues -Vasquez, Florida State University, The Corporate Diplomacy, Baru Panama, Columbus University, CBRE, Berlitz, Universidad del Istmo, Admios, American English and Dell.

The Education Committee of AMCHAM formalizes over 6 years of work on this issue, through its flagship program of social responsibility with School Principals in San Miguelito.
