The President of the Association of American Chambers of Commerce in Latin America and the Caribbean (AACCLA), Thomas Kenna had the honor of introducing H.E. Vice President Mike Pence during AmCham Chile’s 100th anniversary and AACCLA’s 50th anniversary.

During his speech, he noted that for 50 years, AACCLA´s network has been actively working to promote trade and investment between the United States and the countries of the region through the promotion of free trade and enterprise. "As a native of Panama, I have worked my entire career to promote business across the Americas, and from the Americas around the globe, so I am especially pleased to be here at an event celebrating the 50th anniversary of our historic AACCLA organization."

Kenna highlighted during his presentation the visionaries David Rockefeller, William Waldrip and Harry Freeman, founders of AACCLA, since Latin America and the Caribbean currently account for one-fifth of the total US foreign trade and approximately one-third of all US foreign direct investment.

Meanwhile, H.E. Vice President Mike Pence said he was very pleased to be in Santiago, Chile, celebrating AmCham Chile’s 100th anniversary and celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Association of American Chambers of Commerce in Latin America and the Caribbean (AACCLA).
